The term “composting machine” is the subject of interest for this web page. It is affiliated with a consortium that boasts a wealth of experience in the arena of plant-based packaging. With a track record as producers of plant-based PLA products, we’ve pinpointed a common challenge confronted by businesses utilizing PLA and other forms of compostable packaging – the quandary of disposing of used packaging materials in an environmentally responsible manner.

In numerous jurisdictions, regulations prohibit the inclusion of compostable items such as plant-based cups, bottles, cutlery, and related products, within the industrial composting waste stream. Despite the fact that these compostable packaging items are crafted to break down effectively in specific facilities, they remain off-limits for processing within industrial composting establishments. This state of affairs is deemed unconventional, not only by us but also by a multitude of other enterprises, clients, and consumers.

Our mission has been to tackle this challenge head-on and present a viable solution to companies that are turning to compostable packaging as an alternative to ecologically harmful fossil-based plastic products. This endeavor prompted us to embark on an extensive endeavor, leading to the development of a composting machine with the ability to efficiently process a diverse array of compostable materials directly on-site, where they are used.

 

Through our diligent efforts, we have engineered a composting machine capable of handling a wide spectrum of materials,  PHA, bagasse, hemp, bamboo, dried banana leaves, starch, and a host of other compostable substances, all while managing food waste. This undertaking has encompassed several years of dedicated research, encompassing the pursuit of an optimal design for a food composting machine, the formulation of a specialized bio-culture mix, and the creation of a biochip that eschews reliance on fossil-derived plastics.

 

The culmination of our work is the unveiling of food-composter.com. Finally, a practical solution has materialized for the end-of-life cycle of both compostable packaging and food waste, and it comes in the form of our state-of-the-art liquid food composting machine.

We work together with a USA based company producing PLA preforms, caps and labels. They are, as far as we know, the only company in the world that has a 100% plant-based cap for their bottles. This way their PLA bottles. caps and labels are 100% plant-based. We have done several tests with their bottle to make sure also thicker PLA material can be composted in our food composter.
